This event is more like a Movement....a Wear Yellow and Strive to be Kind
Movement. Please invite your friends along to join in.
What is an Act of Kindness?
An act of kindness is a spontaneous gesture of goodwill towards someone or something - our fellow humans, the animal kingdom, and the kingdom of nature. Kind words and deeds come from a state of benevolence, generated by a core
response deep within all of us. When we carry out an act of kindness it is a message from one heart to another, an act of love, an unspoken "I care" statement.
Drop a few coins in an area where children play....do you remember how excited you felt when as a child you found a coin lying on the ground?
Take flowers to a hospital ward or an aged care home and give them to someone who hasn't had any visitors.
Last week I was at the grocery store buying the usual things for the family - dinner, lunches, etc. I got to the checkout and realised I had left my wallet at home. I was just going to leave it, come back and start again. But the lady behind me kindly offered the $50 to pay for it. I said thank you but no. She insisted and said - "It's called random act of kindness, have a good day." - Jocelyn
Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a challenge
of some sort. Plato
Even if we don't feel we have much to contibute, we can all make a difference in our own small way, but it's also when we come together that we can create real change.
It's said that if you perform two acts of kindness a day, and the recipients go on to perform two acts of their own, more than a thousand acts of kindness can be shared in just 10 days. But if each of those same people did five acts, more than 19 million acts of kindness could be shared in just 10 days.

By joining this page, we are encouraging people to experience and feel the difference that embracing giving and kindness can make to their lives. Kindness changes people’s attitudes, feelings and actions towards themselves and others by promoting hope, peace and love. What better way to honour and remember our kind and beautiful friend, Allison, in the leadup to July 22.

The Gift of Sight
Pablo Picasso once said "If only we could pull out our brain and use only our eyes we would be amazed at the world around us".
To see takes time and we haven't the time. That is the unrelenting truth. The ability to see is a miraculous gift , but the majority of us don't take the time to do more than just glance around. We take our sense of sight for granted.
Today, really look around at your world - your family, your home, your pets, your co-workers and strangers on the street.
Smile at everyone you meet, because you see them.

Seize the essence of life; embrace every moment.
Watch the sunrise, watch the sunset.
